What Edgewide does
Edgewide adjusts webpage layouts locally in Safari on the iPhone Duo outer display. On websites you permit, it inspects page structure, element sizes and styles to widen layouts and keep controls clear of Safari’s buttons.
Information stays on your device
The app and extension do not collect or send your browsing history, webpage contents, form entries, account information or device identifiers to us. There are no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking technologies or third-party SDKs in Edgewide.
Your Wide/Off choice, control-side preference, blur preference and site exceptions are stored locally using Safari’s extension storage. Site exceptions include the hostname you choose to exclude. Original style and viewport values are temporarily recorded in the webpage so Edgewide can restore changes safely after Safari reopens. These records are not sent to us.
You control access
You can choose permitted websites in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Edgewide. You can turn Wide off or exclude a site from Edgewide’s Safari popup. You can disable the extension in Safari settings or uninstall its containing app.
Websites and Apple services
Websites you visit continue to operate under their own privacy policies. Safari, TestFlight and other Apple services may process information under Apple’s policies and your system settings. Edgewide does not add its own browsing or diagnostic telemetry.
This website
This marketing website does not include advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or account sign-in. Its interactive demonstration runs in your browser without saving your choices. The website is hosted by Vercel, which may process standard request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and secure the site. The app’s on-device privacy practices are separate from website hosting.
Contact
For support or privacy questions, use the contact form. We use the name, reply email address, topic, and message you provide to respond. Messages are delivered to our support inbox through Postmark; they are not stored in a website database. We keep support correspondence as needed to address your request. Please avoid including private webpage contents or sensitive information.
To limit spam and abuse, the form uses temporary signed tokens and temporary safeguards in server memory. Safeguard keys contain keyed hashes of connection addresses and reply email addresses, rather than the raw values. These keys expire within one hour or when the server instance restarts. Messages are not used for advertising or mailing-list subscriptions.
Policy updates
Any material change to Edgewide’s information practices will be reflected in an updated policy and app version.
